About Bright Spark

Greg (he/him) is an accredited driving instructor and electric vehicle enthusiast who is passionate about road safety and working with young people. A former cartographer, Greg spent close to a decade working for a large electricity distribution utility in bushfire powerline safety. During this time, he was also a health and safety representative for a team of field surveyors, including work with fleet management and road safety.

 

Greg has lived in Geelong West for the last 17 years. He is an advocate for environmental sustainability and action on climate change but recognises the social and economic need for personal transportation in our society.

In the Geelong community, Greg has previously been an accredited foster carer and a volunteer mentor with the Geelong L2P program. He is a regular plasma donor at the Geelong donation centre.

 

Greg has driven many different types of manual and automatic vehicles with petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric drivetrains. Greg also rides motorbikes and bicycles and has a wide appreciation of different road users.

 

Greg receives a flu vaccine annually and maintains First Aid and CPR training.
